The periodic meeting of ERFC and EuMPI members in Paris, hosted by UNESCO and the French members of the Millennium Project and the ERFC, offered the opportunity for the ERFC-EUMPI Network to renew its vision and mission and establish objectives for the next period.

Ljubljana Forum is an annual gathering that combines knowledge and experience of city governance and defines key areas, visions and strategies of the future development of cities.
As an answer to the global challenges CITIES face worldwide and aware of the key role they will play, the MILLENNIUM PROJECT has launched the MILLENNIUM CITIES Network in order to promote mutual learning and cooperation between forward looking urban stakeholders, mainly city representatives and businesses. Jean Claude Burgelman, Head of Unit A6 - Science Policy, Foresight and Data (European Commission, DG Research) will participate in the morning workshop of the first day, together with Riel Miller, Head of Foresight in UNESCO, and Jerome Glenn, Executive Director of the Millennium Project. The aim of this half-a-day workshop is to debate about the situation of anticipatory governance in Europe and the ERFC-EUMPI network future priorities to be agreed the second day, during the Strategic Reflection of the ERFC-EUMPI network.
